Access in Summary
Guy's hospital is very well served by public transport. London Bridge station is a short walk from the hospital, and the route from the station is level and step free throughout. London Bridge is a major transport interchange with links to National Rail, London Underground and local bus services.
Car park and drop off
Visitors and patients should be aware that parking at Guy's hospital is extremely limited, and it is advisable to use public transport if possible. There is a small car park directly outside the main entrance, which offers a limited number of accessible parking bays for blue badge holders. This car park also serves as a pick-up and drop-off area. Access from the car park to the main entrance is level and step free throughout.
Access at entrance
The main entrance for Guy's hospital is located on Great Maze Pond. There are two large, automatic revolving doors, which can be slowed down for ease of access. There is also an accessible entrance to the right of the revolving doors, which has a large, automatic sliding door. Access on the approach to and at either entrance is step free and level throughout. There is a secondary entrance into the hospital on St. Thomas street, which also has automatic doors and level access.
The main reception for the hospital is located just inside the main entrance. There is a low counter and an induction loop system is fitted. Patients or visitors seeking directions around the hospital, or for other general queries, should seek assistance here.
There are several areas within the hospital serving food and refreshments, and seating areas provided in the main reception and the atrium on the ground floor. There are accessible toilet facilities within the main reception area and within most departments on each floor of the hospital. The hospital shop, located on the ground floor, sells food, drinks, gifts and newspapers amongst other items.

Step free access is provided to every department, ward and area within the hospital. There are six main lifts, A-F, which serve all floors of the hospital between them. All of the lifts are considered to be accessible and will be large enough to accommodate a wheelchair if required.
