There are bus stops with frequent services located on Eaton Road within close proximately to the entrances. There is also a taxi rank located within the Alder Hey campus next to the Accident and Emergency Entrance.

Car Park and Drop Off

There is a main Car Park located by the Alder Road Entrance. There are additional accessible bays situated near to all entrances with step free access to the pavements. Drop off points are located near the Main Entrance and the K1 Daycase Entrance.

Access at Entrance

The entrances are step free with automatic doors for easy access. They have good signage and are easily identifiable from the facades, with many offering weather protection.

Reception

The main reception has good circulation and a low counter. Staff will assist all visitors with enquiries and assist where possible. Many receptions in the hospital departments have low counters and induction loops.

Facilities

There is a restaurant located off the main corridor with a separate coffee counter. There is plenty of seating and assistance if required. Within the restaurant there are vending machines, an ATM and a WHSmiths located next door. There are accessible toilets within all the main departments with many also offering baby change facilities.

Access to All Areas

All the main departments are accessible from the main corridor which runs the entire length of the hospital with lifts and stairs located at convenient points. The stairwells are colour coded for ease of orientation with accessible lifts located at each end.
